Justyna Wolek, School Based Therapist, joined JPA in July 2022. Justyna graduated with her MSW from Dominican University in May 2022. 

 

Prior to joining JPA, Justyna was a flight attendant for 6.5 years. While completing her Masters degree, Justyna was an intern at a domestic violence organization in advocacy and counseling and has been an online crisis counselor since 2019. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, attending concerts, painting, and going to the movies. 
 
Justyna is All in For Kids because "I think people underestimate the impact things such as schools, communities, and adults have on kids. Especially with institutionalized racism all around, many of these kids aren't given the opportunity to thrive or let alone, be a kid. My goal with each student is to let them know that they are heard and seen with me, by an adult in a setting where they may often feel as if they aren't heard or seen. Some of our students are witness and victims to really unfortunate trauma and don't have a place to process or share what they are going through and that can detrimentally impact their adolescence and adulthood. I also just think kids are incredibly creative, outrageously smart, and downright hilarious and honest which is why I love working with them."
