Ellie Schendzielos, School-Based Therapist, joined JPA in July 2021. She received a Master’s in Social Work from Erikson Institute in May of 2021. Ellie’s role at JPA includes providing individual, child-centered, relationship-based therapy to students in Pre-K through 8th grade, small group therapy focused on building social-emotional competency, and consultation and collaboration with teachers and caregivers.

 

Prior to joining JPA, Ellie worked as a literacy tutor with AmeriCorps, a special education paraprofessional in multiple elementary schools, and was on staff at a Salvation Army emergency shelter, providing care, support, and stability to children & adults experiencing homelessness. She completed an internship with Breakthrough Urban Ministries prior to interning at JPA.
