Hi, I'm Alec Ross
I graduated from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration and am a licensed clinical social worker and certified substance abuse counselor. I’ve worked in the field for over 38 years. I am also an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University in the Graduate School of Social Work and at the Institute for Clinical Social Work where I teach Substance Abuse Treatment. I’ve had extensive experience consulting with various mental health agencies, communities, and schools in the areas of Social/Emotional Learning; program development and group work; substance abuse prevention and intervention; trauma-informed services aimed at youth and parents, and suicide prevention and intervention. I’ve developed innovative workshops and presentations for parents, students, and professionals on a variety of issues concerning the well-being of our community’s youth. Clinically, I work with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, couples, and group counseling.
